Frédéric Berbigier - CFP Director, Chief Financial Officer
Born July 26, 1912 in Paris (18th), son of a bank employee. Degree in law and literature, Sciences po Paris. Inspector of Finances (1937) like Roger Goetze, whom he knew well (they were together in the office of P. Mendès France). Financial Controller of the Compagnie française des câbles télégraphiques and the Compagnie Radio-France in September 1940. Chargé de mission at the Inspection des finances from 1940 to 1944. Head of the cabinet of Pierre Mendès France, Minister of the National Economy from September 1944 to May 1945. Head of the Economic Expansion Department in the Foreign Economic Relations Directorate on 1 January 1945. Seconded from 1951 to 1953 to the General Secretariat of the Interministerial Committee for European Economic Affairs. Joined the PSC in July 1953 as Financial Director; he remained there until 1966. He then became Director of Finance and Administration until 1976. In 1956 he made a major tour of Bermuda, the Bahamas, Djibouti, Switzerland and the Netherlands to explore the possibility of setting up branches there. Director of Air Total, CFP(A), Navale des Pétroles. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the OFP. Died in 1976.
