Paul Paclot - CEO of Pierrefitte-Auby and COFAZ
Born February 3, 1925 in Paris. Lycée Buffon, Faculty of Law of Paris, graduate in law. He is a man with a double career: in the Group, he joined the Société des produits Chimiques d'Auby in 1945, of which he became CEO in 1965. President of the French Union of Fertilizers and Chemicals. Then, he was CEO of the Pierrefitte-Auby Company (1970-1977) and at the same time, from 1971 to 1977, CEO of the COFAZ (French Nitrogen Company), which absorbed Pierrefitte-Auby in 1970. It is therefore one of the key men in organizing the French fertilizer sector at a difficult time due to the rising cost of raw materials and competition from emerging countries. Outside the Group, he was at the same time chief of staff to the Secretary of State for Air, then to Armament D. Catroux (1954-1955). He was a member of the Economic and Social Council in 1965 and 1967, president of the Paris commercial court (1969-1972), member of the board of directors of the École nationale de la magistrature (1972-1976), president of the section legal representative of the CNPF, member of the technical commission on agreements (1975) In 1977, he became president of the National Union of Sugar Manufacturers in France. Subsequently, he became president of the Regional Discount and Deposit Bank (BRED) from 1983 to 1993. Co-owner of Fidinvest with Pallas-Stern, administrator of the Comptoir des entrepreneurs. Died in 2006.
