Pierre Simonnet - General Manager Refining and Distribution of Elf Aquitaine

He became budget controller at the UIP (Union Industrielle des Pétroles, which formed the basis of the Elf Group's downstream activities) from 1962 to 1966. Managing Director of Elf Belgium, Elf Luxembourg, the Société belgo-française de produits pétroliers and the Groupement des importateurs de pétrole. Director of Elf Benelux, Managing Director of Elf Nederland (1966-1972). External Director Europe of Elf Union from 1972 to 1974. Senior Vice President, Refining and Industrial Operations of Elf France (1974-1978), Executive Vice President (1978-1982), then Chief Executive Officer of Elf France (1982-1988), Senior Vice President, Refining and Distribution of Elf Aquitaine (1984-1988). Advisor to the Chairman of the Elf Aquitaine group. Vice-Chief Executive Officer of Rhin-Rhône. Died December 7, 2003.
